  • Relate and compare financial data from different sources, recognizing what information is needed to identify and resolve issues
  • Document details of all information gathered and/or issues encountered
  • Ensure accuracy of work with attention to detail
  • Use gathered information to deliver a risk decision

Qualifications/Skills

  • Working knowledge of computers and windows applications
  • Web navigation proficiency
  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly learning environment
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful working conditions (e.g. customers with complex situations)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (e.g. researching and identifying risk criteria, inputting data, and communicating with clients)

Description

The Network Engineer will be responsible for network operations consisting of multiple production data centers and multiple corporate office locations. Must have experience managing complex network environments and policy rules bases.

The Network Engineer will be responsible to ensure the network environment and processes conform to PCI compliance standards including security design, change control, audit logging, periodic FW reviews.

The Network Engineer will be a key role in leading initiatives to develop and implement new solutions for emerging product hosting environments and enhance and support legacy environments. The Network engineering will also perform software upgrades and equipment replacement.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all company network and network devices
  • Analyze current environments to assess gaps and risks, be able to plan and implement enhancements
  • Upgrade and or replace existing network equipment with limited down time
  • Apply knowledge and experience of network operations best practices to enable highly available & reliable network and processes department wide
  • Design and deploy network solutions via a common framework to meet high availability targets and uptime requirements
  • Evaluates new products/technologies to determine the benefit/impact to the existing systems
  • Operate as the subject matter expert for in-scope technologies for project design and deployments
  • Ensure that all solutions meet the PCI Industry requirements for security, access and controls

Required Skills

  • Excellent networking skills, expert in Cisco network equipment and software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially as they relate to determining the root cause for production system events and outages in complex compute solutions spanning multiple datacenter environments
  • Experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) or similar financial industry regulated systems environments
  • Prior experience designing and deploying large transaction volume solutions
  • Ability to effectively self-manage technology projects and set priorities based on active business requirements and department project requirements
  • Ability to design 'right size' solutions based on business requirements, budget and delivery expectations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors and business leads at every level of the organization
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience as a lead Network Engineer, consulting experience helpful
  • Experience in large corporate environments with complex networks and experience in mid-sized companies with complete ownership of network architecture.
